Lefty's Barber Shop

Picture 15 January 2009
This Lefty's barbershop has two a pretty involved neon sign comprised of the "Lefty's" in blue, "Barber Shop" in red, and the barber shop pole. The barber shop pole is one of the symbols used before literacy was common. The symbol referred to the fact that barbers also used to be surgeons as well and would dry the bloody rags on a pole outside the shop, hygienic. The information from Lefty's Barber Shop information is as follows:

Sun Cafe

The word Sun written in large art deco letters. There are ports for missing neon elements.
The word Cafe written in Art Deco Text there are ports for missing neon elements.
An old cafe Art Deco Cafe. The building is a beige stucco with a red Art deco sign saying Sun Cafe it also has other Art Deco design elements.
Sometimes you come upon a neon sign to late. This sign for the Sun Cafe obviously was a neon sign in the past. This unique art deco store front is sadly shortly to be replaced with a restaurant called Funky Garcia's. The Sun Cafe had been a fixture of San Diego for decades. It was family owned and displayed local art on its walls and windows. The proprietors where especially kind to homeless people who often have problems finding places to eat because of the hygiene difficulties inherent in the condition. There is also an entry on the Sun Cafe at Transitional San Diego. The building is located at:

421 Market Street.
San Diego CA 92101

ALL-PRO BAIL BONDS

I don't know what the link between patriotism and Bail Bonds is but nothing says bail in San Diego like neon signs and American Flags. I took this picture from the trolley. You can see a little of the trolley as a reflection. The information for All Bail Bonds is as follows:
